What do you love most about what you do?

Technology can create and unlock an unbelievable amount of opportunities for organizations, but it is often misunderstood.  Bridging this gap and empowering organizations to make large-scale, value-based technology investments is what I love to do.  Naturally, there is lots of collaboration and teamwork, which is great, especially when working with such an amazing team!

How did you come to choose this career path?

I was fortunate to get exposed to enterprise technology early on in my career. I spent over a decade implementing Salesforce and enterprise technologies across a wide range of organizations.  I joined Groundswell in 2018 primarily due to the synergy and alignment that I had with how Brian and Pei looked at the Salesforce consulting ecosystem.  As we have grown, we have codified this view in Groundswell’s purpose, values, and our BHAG, “to serve as the role model in our industry that top companies and top talent seek to partner with.”  At this stage in my career, the exciting part for me is getting to work with an amazing team in developing the industry benchmark for how organizations and Salesforce partner with system integrators.

What are your favorite things to do in your spare time?

I am a new dad and have an incredibly cute daughter who keeps me on my toes but spending time outdoors, going for hikes, going to parks, beaches, and anywhere else with a view is always at the top of my list.

Senior Director, Sales

What do you love most about what you do?

The people!  I truly enjoy working with customers and fellow employees to understand our clients’ business objectives.  The real magic happens when we collectively collaborate on avenues to achieve those objectives through digital solutions.

How did you come to choose this career path?

I came to choose this career path after interning as a Mechanical Engineer.  During my internship, I led a design review meeting with one of our clients where we reviewed several designs for their various machines.  Following that design meeting, I realized I really enjoyed the people aspect of business, and then things just fell into place.

What are your favorite things to do in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my family.  My wife, Julie, and I have two daughters named Audrey and Violet.  They each play volleyball and we spend a lot of time watching them compete.  Outside of volleyball weekends, we enjoy attending South Dakota State University sporting events, playing golf and going for walks with our German Wire Haired Pointer Mike.  I also enjoy the occasional Pheasant Hunt;  Anything outdoors generally puts a smile on our faces.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love interacting with such a diverse group of people as we engage in new opportunities. Every interaction and discovery helps me better grasp a particular industry (whether tech, manufacturing, or retail) and gives me new perspectives. It allows me to develop a more rounded approach to helping our customers with the best possible solutions.

How did you come to choose this career path?

I have somewhat organically found my way into this career, starting with my BSc at University. After graduating with a degree in Information Systems, I navigated the corporate world in the US as a QA Engineer. I had the opportunity to work on my first Salesforce and MuleSoft projects in 2014. I then moved to Vancouver for a new adventure and found myself joining a Salesforce SI, first in QA, then transitioning through to Project Management and Consulting. I moved to Groundswell in early 2019 and have been afforded incredible opportunities to grow in my role and accelerate my career in the Engagement Team.

What are your favorite things to do in your spare time?

I love playing squash, golf, Gaelic football, and casual soccer with friends. When not running around after a ball, I try to play some guitar and get down to the gym after work. More recently, I’ve also taken to making some cocktails at home with the pandemic and all.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love all the new people I get to meet to help our clients realize the full potential of their Salesforce investment.

How did you come to choose this career path?

After seven years of Salesforce delivery holding multiple leadership roles, I wanted a fresh new challenge within the Ecosystem that would build upon my existing skill set. After being in Sales, I can’t imagine going back to Delivery!

What are your favorite things to do in your spare time?

My favorite things to do are cook, explore my city, and focus on being the best husband and father possible for my family.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love the experience and skills that my job as an engagement lead allows me to practice and develop. I find it fulfilling to take an idea or a problem from a client and partner with them to define projects that enable them to execute this idea. I also enjoy the fast-paced nature of the work, it keeps me on my toes and always learning new things.

How did you come to choose this career path?

I’ve always had a passion for technology and problem-solving. When I was in college, I took a computer science class and it really sparked my interest in this field. I decided to take a few more classes in computer science and soon after graduation, I got a job as a technology consultant, where I found that I enjoy the process of creating and improving software, solving complex problems, and helping people.

What are your favorite things to do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, particularly non-fiction books about science and technology. I also enjoy cooking; it’s a great way for me to disconnect from technology and to express my creativity by experimenting with different ingredients, techniques, and flavors. I find it very relaxing and rejuvenating.
