Saul Sigalov

Account Executive

What do you love most about what you do?

Salesforce is often not a One-Size-Fits-All solution. I love the opportunity to work with today’s business leaders, and alongside Salesforce, come up with creative technology solutions that foster positive change. Every industry experiences its own unique set of challenges. Working with customers across different verticals allows our team to bring forward a unique blend of problem-solving skills that help drive innovation. Being a part of this team is what I love most. 

How did you come to choose this career path? 

My journey in Sales started at Salesforce in 2014, when I was hired as a Sales Representative. Over the next 5 years, I advanced in the company becoming an Account Executive. Along the way, I developed a set of core values that I embrace today: honesty, positivity, and perseverance.

In 2017, I moved from Toronto to Vancouver and my drive for consistent self-improvement led me to pursue a Marketing and Sales Management diploma at UBC Sauder School of Business. The strategies and frameworks I learned there inspired me to join the start-up world. I had the opportunity to design, build, and implement different sales processes at various companies.

Today, in 2021, I find myself at Groundswell as their first Account Executive. Our company’s mission “to serve as the role model in our industry that top companies and top talent seek to partner with” aligns perfectly with my core values. The experience I’ve accumulated selling complex technology solutions over the past seven years, along with the values Groundswell embodies,  puts me in the perfect position to continue my personal growth. While also creating long-term value for our customers.

What are your favorite things to do in your spare time? 

You will typically find me outdoors in the beautiful coastal mountain ranges in British Columbia outside of work . Whether it’s a hike, camping, climbing, or snowboarding, my passion for adventure always seems to draw me to our rugged backyard on the west coast. I’ve recently taken up a new hobby of photography, which pairs well with my lifestyle. 

Richard Bradfield

Engagement Lead

What do you love most about what you do?

I love interacting with such a diverse group of people as we engage in new opportunities. Every interaction and discovery helps me better grasp a particular industry (whether tech, manufacturing or retail)and gives me new perspectives. It allows me to develop a more rounded approach to help our customers with the best possible solutions.

How did you come to choose this career path?

I have somewhat organically found my way into this career, starting with my BSc at University. Graduating with a degree in Information Systems, I navigated the corporate world in the US as a QA Engineer.I had the opportunity to work on my first Salesforce and MuleSoft projects in 2014. I then moved to Vancouver for a new adventure and found myself joining a Salesforce SI, first in QA, then transitioning through to Project Management and Consulting. I moved to Groundswell in early 2019 and have been afforded incredible opportunities to grow in my role and accelerate my career into the Engagement Team.

What are your favorite things to do in your spare time? 

I love to play squash, golf, Gaelic football, and some casual soccer with friends. When not running around after a ball, I try to play some guitar and get down to the gym after work. More recently, I’ve also taken to making some cocktails at home with the pandemic and all.

What do you love most about what you do?

From a young age, I have been fascinated by technology and how it can be leveraged to solve even the most complex challenges. Today, I get the opportunity to collaborate with new and existing customers to determine how technology can be applied to their business. The best part of all of this is the people I meet from different backgrounds and industries. I have made great friends and connections throughout the years!

How did you come to choose this career path? 

This career path definitely chose me! I have been extremely fortunate with the people I have met throughout my education and career. These people have advised me and offered me amazing opportunities. I started with my BSc in Business Information Systems (UCC, Ireland) where I got the opportunity to intern for Fidelity Investments in Boston, where I received first-hand experience in how technology is applied to complex business scenarios. I entered the consulting world in 2014, gaining exposure to complex enterprise programs leveraging the Salesforce platform. A close friend and former colleague approached me in 2018 and told me I should join Groundswell; I haven’t looked back since! Under the mentorship of Imran and the leadership team at Groundswell, I have learned and grown significantly. I count myself fortunate to work with a great team of people every single day.

What are your favorite things to do in your spare time? 

I try to run every day for my sanity and so I can indulge in my partner’s sourdough bread semi-guilt free. I love camping and exploring the beautiful wilderness of British Columbia and all it has to offer. I tried my hand at squash for a bit under Richard Bradfield’s tutelage, but my ego became too bruised after losing 100 games in a row.

What do you love most about what you do?

Technology can create and unlock an unbelievable amount of opportunities for organizations, but it is often misunderstood.  Bridging this gap and empowering organizations to make large-scale, value-based technology investments is what I love to do.  Naturally, there is lots of collaboration and teamwork, which is great, especially when working with such an amazing team! 

How did you come to choose this career path? 

I was fortunate to get exposed to enterprise technology early on in my career. I spent over a decade implementing Salesforce and enterprise technologies across a wide range of organizations.  I joined Groundswell in 2018 primarily due to the synergy and alignment that I had with how Brian and Pei looked at the Salesforce consulting ecosystem.  As we have grown, we have codified this view in Groundswell’s purpose, values, and our BHAG, “to serve as the role model in our industry that top companies and top talent seek to partner with.”  At this stage in my career, the exciting part for me is getting to work with an amazing team in developing the industry benchmark for how organizations and Salesforce partner with system integrators. 

What are your favorite things to do in your spare time? 

I am a new dad and have an incredibly cute daughter who keeps me on my toes but spending time outdoors, going for hikes, going to parks, beaches, and anywhere else with a view is always at the top of my list.
